Here to Stay: Celebrating 40 Years at the Architecture Archives

I managed the editorial process for Carnegie Mellon University’s Architecture Archives exhibit, copyediting all exhibit text and printed materials while maintaining the editorial workflow and content calendar. My role ensured consistent messaging across all exhibit elements and timely content delivery. Additionally, I created several marketing pieces that highlighted the exhibition’s significance, including a featured news article for Carnegie Mellon’s main website.

The Architecture Archives at Carnegie Mellon University has spent four decades documenting the region’s built environment through thousands of architectural records. These collections—containing sketches, renderings, specifications, photographs, and models—tell the story of Pittsburgh’s transformation through settlement, industrialization, urbanization, and redevelopment. Obtained from architects, firms, families, and local governments, these materials preserve the memory of demolished structures, support conservation efforts, and provide essential context for understanding the architectural evolution that has shaped Pittsburgh and the surrounding region.
