MIT Technology Review

During my tenure at MIT Technology Review, I spearheaded a digital transformation that engaged with audiences during the formative years of online journalism. As Senior Producer, I built and managed a 10-person cross-functional digital news team, implementing project management systems to help navigate the rapid changes. My business approach centered on developing data-informed editorial strategies that successfully tripled website traffic through a deep understanding of our audience analytics.

I developed and executed a comprehensive content strategy, including building a daily news hub, targeted newsletters, and revenue-generating microsites that strengthened audience relationships. Managing a $1.1 million digital editorial budget, our workflows included editorial, technology, and business teams—creating an integrated project management framework that drove measurable audience growth while preserving the publication’s reputation for insightful technology coverage.

This experience at the intersection of technology journalism, digital strategy, and audience development established a foundation for my subsequent editorial leadership and digital transformation work. The project showcased how effective editorial management could bridge traditional print expertise with emerging digital opportunities.
